Preventive Controls with Explosive Detection Dogs are a tactic used to detect explosives and explosive materials. Explosive detection dogs are specially trained canines capable of recognizing the scent of various types of explosives, such as TNT, C4, dynamite, and other dangerous substances that can be used for terrorist attacks.
These dogs are deployed in various situations, such as airports, train stations, events, government buildings, and other locations where there is an increased risk of explosive hazards. Manual Inspection: After a positive response from the explosive detection dog, the dog handler or authorized personnel may conduct a manual inspection to confirm the presence of explosives.

We use recognized and original explosives approved by TNO. Furthermore, we collaborate with reliable suppliers who deliver trained dogs to us on a weekly basis. Our dogs undergo personal testing by us, and if they pass the selection, they receive medical examinations in the Netherlands by our veterinarian at www.meemortel.nl, using X-ray images to check the hips, elbows, and back. Only when these criteria are met, we start teaching them to detect the scents of the substances at our K9 training facility.
When selling groups of dogs, we provide startup training. This way, the dog and the new handler are paired and familiarized with the necessary knowledge and skills.
Three explosive detection dogs named Thor, Nero, and Rocco are operational with an elite unit in Central Africa. Every day, they detect IEDs and weapons in the fight against Boko Haram. Thanks to the deployment of Thor, Nero, and Rocco, the locals can safely return to the streets.
